Our favourite resorts
Whiteout's favourite- Les Arcs
With some of the best skiing anywhere in Europe and an Apres scene to match, we love Les Arcs. As it is part of the Paradski area, it is home to a break taking 425km of runs. As it happens Angus has even done a ski season their, so knows all the ins and outs. From the best slopes to the best bars. So if you travel with us to Les Arcs, be sure to ask any questions/ get some insider tips before you go!
Craig's favourite- Sun Peaks, Canada
Sun Peaks is home to the second biggest ski area in British Columbia. With a great village atmosphere, fantastic skiing for all abilities and cinnamon buns to die for, Sun Peaks has it all. Granted it is a longer flight out to the west coast of Canada, however in Craig's eyes it is more than worth it for the reliable snow and fantastic skiing.
Angus's favourite- Meribel, France
Meribel has it all in my opinion. It’s a stunning place with challenging skiing if you know where to go. The infamous Jerusalem red run is the perfect way to start a ski holiday and the Follie Douce, a perfect finish. You also have the two other valleys, Val Thorens in particular has spectacular panoramic views when at the summit and really excellent places to eat. The whole resort has very modern ski lifts given its height which is a major benefit when stuck in a snow storm. There is of course the added benefit of being spoilt by the choice of two Follie Douces just a chair lift away and if that wasn’t enough the Malasia night club is an epic place under the piste. 10/10 would ski again.
The Whiteout One to Watch- Bansko, Bulgaria
The Bulgaria ski scene is up and coming, with fantastic skiing, great nightlife, fantastic hotels and great value for money, we think this is going to be one of the next big hits. Not only is it far cheaper than its French counterparts for travel and accomodation, the £1 pints, dinner for £10 a head, cheaper ski passes etc, make Bansko a far more affordable ski holiday, for young professionals, graduates, families and friends who want better value for money.
